Frequently asked questions
About Theo
What is Theo?
Theo is a personal AI thinking partner that lives in your text messages. Bring it whatever is tangled or stuck in your work — it helps you pull it apart, find your next move, and remembers every thread so nothing has to be re-explained.
Who is Theo for?
Solo founders and people building something on their own — anyone whose decisions, plans, and doubts live in one head with no one to think them through with.
Who can join?
Anyone with a US mobile number. Leave your details on the signup form and we'll reach out to get you set up — every member is personally onboarded.
How much does it cost?
Theo is currently free to use, and consent to text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
What do I need to use Theo?
A US mobile number that can receive text messages, and your own opt-in on the signup form. That's it — there is no app to install.

How do I sign up for text messages?
On the signup form, one optional checkbox covers Theo's text messages — replies, agreed check-ins, and follow-ups you've asked for. You only receive messages after you check it and submit the form. No messages are ever sent without your explicit consent.
Do I have to check the consent box to sign up?
Yes. Theo is delivered entirely by text message, so signing up means opting in to texts — there is nothing to deliver without it. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP.
How many messages will I get?
Message frequency varies — it follows your replies and what you've agreed on with Theo. No messages are sent outside what you've opted into.
Does it cost anything to receive messages?
Theo doesn't charge for messages, but standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
How do I stop messages?
Reply STOP at any time. You'll get a single confirmation and then no further messages. Reply HELP at any time for help and contact information.
What happens to my information?
We collect only what the signup form asks for, use it only to run the service, and never sell, rent, or share mobile information with third parties for marketing. Details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
